Threatening attitude of US President Donald Trump towards Pakistan is denouncing and unacceptable. The entire nation should get united against threatening conduct of Donald Trump and government of Pakistan should call the US ambassador to the Foreign Office to record Pakistan’s protest against threatening speech of Donald Trump against Pakistan, said a joint declaration released on Monday after a meeting of Hafiz Muhammad Tahir Mehmood Ashrafi with representatives of political and religious organisations.
The joint declaration underlined that the entire world had been turned into a hell owing to US policies towards different Islamic countries. On one side the US administration has been found accomplice in supporting terrorist organisation Daesh (ISIS) while on other side US President Donald Trump has been hurling accusations at Pakistan and showing a threatening attitude.
The declaration said that 80,000 Pakistanis had sacrificed their lives in the war against terrorism and thousands of innocent Pakistanis and soldiers of Pakistan had been targeted in US-led military attacks of US in Afghanistan. Amidst this scenario, allegations and threatening conduct on part of US President Donald Trump towards Pakistan is very concerning and alarming, said the joint declaration of the Pakistan Ulema Council.
The declaration condemned US President Donald Trump’s speech and underlined that the US administration had forgotten Pakistan’s contributions to the war on terror. “After the US president’s threatening conduct towards Pakistan, the ruling government of Pakistan should negotiate with US administration on equal footings and Pakistan should reject all the aggressive policies of the US for the region. People of Pakistan are united with civil and military leadership of Pakistan against US aggression and government of Pakistan should not concede before US blackmailing anymore. People of Pakistan, Ulemas and Mashaykh termed US stance to invite Indian role in Afghanistan as a US strategy against stability and security of Pakistan and Pakistan rejects US-Indian alliance in Afghanistan.”
It said that Pakistan should review its policies regarding cooperation with US and Afghan administration after recent stance of Donald Trump towards Pakistan. “Until and unless the US a administration take back its prevailing stance, Pakistan should stay away from supporting US-led Afghan strategies.”
The joint declaration also stated that Pakistan had been a victim of war against terrorism since last two decades, and elements aiming at destabilising Pakistan were operating from Afghanistan, which were being protected and supported by the US administration.
