QUETTA: At least 12 suspected miscreants, including two “commanders”, were killed in a shoot-out with Frontier Corps (FC) in the Kohlu area of Balochistan on Monday.
On a tip-off, the FC raided a hideout in Kohlu and a shoot-out took place. In retaliation, two key commanders, Yameen and Bandoos Khan, and 10 other suspects were killed. According to an FC spokesperson, the suspects were involved in attacks on security forces, extortion and kidnapping for ransom. He said the gun battle between FC and the alleged militants took place on Sunday. He said that following intelligence information, FC teams launched a search operation in Nasau area of Kohlu which led to the gun battle between the armed men and the law enforcement personnel.
