ISLAMABAD: An Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) has granted an interim bail to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader Aleem Khan in the cases regarding the attack on the parliament house and the Pakistan Television’s building.
Aleem was given the bail against surety bond worth Rs0.1 million.
The court summoned the PTI leader again on April 25.
Four cases including the attack on the state television building, Parliament and SSP Asmatullah Junejo were registered against several PTI leaders during their 2014 Islamabad “Dharna” against alleged rigging in the 2013 general elections.
Pakistan Awami Tehreek Leader Tahirul Qadri and PTI Cheif Imran Khan are also facing the hearings in the same cases. The ATC has already extended the interim bail of Imran Khan in January.
The court granted bail to PTI Secretary general Jehangir Khan Tareen in the cases on April 9.
Other PTI leaders Shireen Mazari, Arif Alvi and Asad Umar were also got bail in the cases earlier this year.
