MULTAN: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Jahangir Tareen on Saturday asked the government to hold talks with opposition parties at the earliest to resolve Panama leaks issue before budget.
Talking to journalists in Multan, Jahangir Tareen said: “We do not want to derail democracy; therefore, the ruling party should sit on a table with opposition over Panama leaks”. He demanded to launch investigation against Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s family regarding their names in Panama Papers as “PTI has clear stance on this matter”. PTI leader stated that terms of references (ToRs) formed by incumbent government are complicated which can delay investigation. Responding to a question, Jahangir Tareen termed PK-8 by-election’s defeat as party’s negligence. He said a probe into the matter has been launched.
